Adorable British folk lp with strumming 12-string acoustic sound and delicate male/female harmonies. Very simple, pure, understated approach with just guitars, bass, tambourine, and plenty of excitement and charm. Exordium has written a good deal of their own material - ‘Revolution Man’, ‘Mary Dry Those Crying Eyes’, ‘Subway’, ‘People All Around’, several others. The songs included that are remakes (‘Put Your Hand In The Hand’, ‘Jesus Met The Woman’, ‘Glory Glory’) sound refreshing in their distinctively British interpretation. They even put a jamming folk twist on Gershwin’s ‘Summertime’. Great band name. Great title. Great black and white cover photo of an apple core. A great album! (Ken Scott - Archivist)
